Tofu Flying - Painting in Progress
As mentioned below, this is my current progress on Tofu the Dog in his airplane. (He says it's his airplane, I don't know where he got it or where he keeps it)
It is about half, maybe two thirds, or maybe even three quarters done. I want to adjust the lower shading on the nose/prop, and I'm still working on the lighting on the tail. I also am not entirely pleased with the highlights on the top part of his plane; I think it's very close, but needs a little bit of work.
I only blocked in the color for Tofu this past weekend so there is still work to do on him yet. Of course I'll be adding a propeller also.

Flying Tofu
This is my current project, a sketch of my current project at any rate. It's something that started at a corporate meeting or something like that (big suprise). I am doing a painting of it. I'll post my progress on it later this week. It involves taking photos, loading them, blah, blah, blah.
My idea is to do Tofu in his airplane on a large horizontal canvas. The little things dropping out of the bomber doors are his little rubber fishy toys. They will not be a part of the main canvas, but rather there will be three fishies on their own small, probably square canvas under the main painting, as if they are being dropped.

Printing
Work on the Were-Fu had me stumped and I haven't touched it since I last posted. Instead I've just been working on what ever I happen to feel like at the moment.
One of those things has been a linoleum block print of the Tofu Take Out drawing. Above are one of my better prints and the block. Carving it out was a lot of fun and was really easy to get into, except possibly the detailed parts. Those were a bit stressful. The actual printing was also fun, ink, ink, ink... print, print, print.
Next I'd like to do red ink on the "Tofu the Dog" words and black on the rest. I also want to get some fabric inks to do prints on shirts. I just need to dig through my laundry and find some shirts to slap some "Tofu Take Out" on, and what color inks I'd like.

First Sketches: The Fearsome WereFu!
The WereFu is a fearsome creature who comes out on a full moon, or just when Tofu gets extra grumpy. Like a werewolf except he is just Tofu transformed into a more upright, growly, monster poodle guy.
The top sketch is something I did a few years ago in some sort of team meeting. I've revisited the idea of the WereFu recently.
The bottom sketch is the WereFu drawn in the updated style I've developed for Tofu the Dog. This one is a bit too "monster" looking to me. I need him to be cuter like the original sketch... but he still needs to be grumpy at the same time. This is something I am working on resolving.
I also like having his "arms" have the "Popeye" forearm thing going on. I think it makes him more "monstery" but "fun-monstery".
